putting up walls

2 very different interiors, but the concept is the same – a large scale image featured on a wall. but the question is – how else can I execute this, without painting the motif directly on the wall?? large format printing or photocopying? cut paper & spray adhesive? suggestions please.

awesome walls! in all honesty i think it depends on the type of image you want to put up…. i guess if it’s more geometric like the bottom image then cut paper and spray adhesive could work ( but so would painting it on to the wall directly, or even creating some kind of stencil or mask so that you got those really nice blunt edges). If it’s a more painterly or picturesque image then possibly making your own wallpaper out of photocopies could be good. next time you at fat GPO check out the wallpaper by the dressing rooms that was a diy photocopy job. If you don’t mind spending heaps of cash then you could always track down an commerical wall decal manufactuer, i found this on google – i’m sure there are heaps more… http://www.dezignwithaz.com/custom-wall-decals-i-30.html?gclid=COmXndvIsZsCFdMtpAodl1aGOw

or you could use contact to get that vinyl look, http://www.ehow.com/how_4819520_own-wall-decals.html

    decisions decisions….
