yay or nay?

Opening Ceremony Doc Martens

Opening Ceremony collaboration with Doc Martens

“a remixed version of classic doc martens, the darcie is elevated to a three-inch heel. made with patent leather upper on an air-cushion sole. available in black patent and cherry red.”

When I first spotted these I loved the concept plus I was looking for a pair of combat style boots that didn’t make me look like an extra from romper stomper. The cheeky wooden heels on these is rad – but I was unsure about the rather gummy looking sole. So I thought that was then end of it. But now I can’t seem to shake these boots out of my head and am already planning my first shopping spree at OC when I arrive in nyc (in my dreams more likely…) so with these boots please tell me what you really think – yay or nay??

yes! i’ve been eyeing them off TOO!! at first i wasnt sure, mainly cos i had them the first time around. but now i keep seeing them in streetstyle shots, and i love them! thats all i’m going to say – i dont want to sound negative. but if you need to play “pros & cons” i’ve got a few of both up my sleeve….

p.s i dont mind the gum. and i like that the thicker gum is positioned right where your feet hurt the most in heels – very clever! xx

rad. we are far too in sync some times for our own good. pros and cons – lay them on me. i think the best thing to do is wait till i get there and then try some on. just glad to hear you love them too!

yes!! i think its best to wait til you’re there in person 🙂
why do all your shopping now? you’d have to find room in your pack for them – better you get them while you’re there.
no need for pros & cons – they’re hot boots and they’re well made. xx
