Suno Cruise/Resort 11

Once again, it’s all about the prints. Yeh, the shapes are pretty cute, and very wearable, but for me, the Prints are the hero of the Suno Resort 11 collection.

[I’ve been on the interwebs for the last hour, trying to track down some close ups of the prints, but ALAS, these shots will have to do.]

Following several seasons of over the top embellishment and print & pattern mash ups, I think these smaller scale, textural art prints are the way forward. Especially when we’re seeing a return to elegance, simple colour-blocking, and streamlined silhouettes.
These splatter prints are surprisingly easy to wear and are a great way to transition from pattern clash to Celine-like simplicity.

And just a side note: I think it’s really funny that some women are scared of prints or say that they “don’t know how to wear prints”.  I find it hard NOT to wear prints! In fact, I’d go so far as to say that prints in your wardrobe are vital – they are the glue that sticks everything together, and the pieces that go with everything.
Is it obvious, yet, that I’m a textile designer….?
