Well I must say, I am one lucky lady.
Not only did I get my dream job last week,  I also celebrated my thirtieth birthday with my friends and family around me.*
I also received some truly incredible presents, some of which deserve, and will receive, dedicated posts of their own.

Until then, here’s the loot.

These two are from my beautiful mister. The perfume is ‘close your eyes and…’ by Miller Et Bertaux. It is my absolute favourite fragrance, and I chose specially for my wedding 2 years ago. Sadly, it ran dry months ago. But the mister remembered! and bought me a new bottle. And the necklace. Whoah. I am have been stalking this Elke Kramer tassel necklace online since it was released a couple of weeks ago. I adore it.

These three beauties are all from the lovely A&R. They are such gems. And the lovely A excelled with her present selection, don’t you think? First up, remember how obsessed with the Eley Kishimoto & Werk collaboration? Well A tracked one down for me!!! This blows my mind!!  It is even more incredible than I imagined. I am yet to get all the way through it, and every time I flick through, I see something new and inspiring.  Next up is the stunning Marimekko ‘In Good Company’ serving bowl. This is the kind of bowl I will have forever. It will come out at all our special family occasions, and then when I am old, my children will ask about that funny bowl with the pattern on it. And last, but certainly not least, is this extraordinary Hansel From Basel zigzag tote. It has heaps of secret pockets, and it is the perfect size for magazines and lunch.

This one blows me away. It is the Ivana Helsinki printed silk scarf, and it was given to me by my lovely workmates. Isn’t that just the most generous and lovely gift ever!?

Now this gift is pretty special. These are real jet beads that once belonged to my great grandmother, and were given to me by my grandmother. She described to me how her mother would wear them, long and loose, and with the flapper dresses of the times. She also told me how her mother once had them restrung, to hang longer, but jet was very hard to come by, so her mother had to settle for 6 different black beads, right near the clasps.

So, like I said, I am one lucky lady.
